Position: Project Manager

Duration : 6 month contract

Address : Onsite 5 days a week in Polaris (570 Polaris Parkway Westerville, OH 43082)

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management with a focus on operational oversight and practice improvement.
• Proficiency with a logistics ERP
• Ideally Oracle
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Pluses:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment on a global scale

Key Responsibilities

A client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a Project Manager on 6 month contract basis. This position is onsite in Westerville, OH. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing and improving the logistics operations of the company. This role involves overseeing daily operations, oversight of transportation methods for shipments, and leading initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a keen eye for detail.

1. Operational Oversight:

• Manage and supervise daily logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
• Coordinate with various departments to streamline logistics processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics operations and implement corrective actions as needed.

1. Transportation Management:

• Select and negotiate with transportation providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable shipment of goods.
• Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.

1. Practice Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement within the logistics operations and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize logistics processes.
• Conduct regular reviews of logistics operations to ensure continuous improvement.
