Job Description

PTW is a boutique games services company with 40 offices in 11 countries worldwide. Our range of services include quality assurance, localization, customer experience, art production, game development services, and audio production services.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Video Game Quality Assurance Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Quality Assurance Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the quality assurance process for our video game projects. This is an in-studio position, and the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in video game quality assurance, as well as proven project management skills. This is an in-office position, no remote work will be allowed and only local candidates in Charleston area or local candidates in the U.S who are willing to relocate will be considered. No visa sponsorship will be provided.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the quality assurance team in planning and executing comprehensive testing strategies for video game projects.
  2. Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and testing schedules to ensure thorough coverage of all game features and functionalities.
  3. Coordinate with development teams to identify and prioritize issues, track defects, and ensure timely resolution.
  4. Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance testers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality results.
  5. Collaborate with producers, developers, and other stakeholders to communicate testing progress, identify risks, and make data-driven decisions to improve product quality.
  6. Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in video game quality assurance.

Requirements

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  2. 8+ years of experience in video game quality assurance, with a strong understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and processes.
  3. 2+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the video game industry.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  5. Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  7. Proficiency in using quality assurance tools and software, such as bug tracking systems, test management tools, and version control systems.
  8. Passion for video games and a deep understanding of gaming mechanics, genres, and platforms.
