This is a W2 contract opportunity

Duration: 3 months (contract to hire)

Hours: 40/week

Hybrid (3 days/week in Chanhassen)

$30/hr - $50/hr depending on experience

The Creative Studio Retail Production Designer is a resourceful go-getter, with entrepreneurial skills, who is detail-oriented in production, yet is also equally comfortable designing for a variety of mediums. You have strong design skills, but your heart is in the production, the details, and organization. In partnership with our creative team, project managers, marketing strategists, motion and content teams, UX and digital authors - you creatively design and execute solutions that solve (and excite) our business partner’s needs.

Responsibilities

• Executes production and design for a wide variety of projects and resolves any issues that arise during production
• Create designs from set brand standards to create a cohesive look throughout a variety of tactics
• Maintains highest production standards and streamlined production processes
• Assists creative team with all production needs, including but not limited to: creating well-structured and organized files, pre-flighting final print files, creating and sizing final images, retouching, building logo files, banners, and other digital formats, organization and tagging of files, production of presentation materials and mockups
• Leverages current technology to craft simple solutions to complex problems
• Delivers quality files ensuring that proofreading, spell-checking and proper pre-flight procedures are followed
• Manages own time effectively across multiple jobs adhering to production and project schedules in a fast-paced environment
• Must be proactive in retrieving, organizing and following-up on all assets necessary to get the job completed on time; able to identify requirements to execute tasks
• Keeps up-to-date with current software and technology and proactively brings recommendations for improvements – inclusive of AI technologies that may help the team process
• Provides support for administrative functions such as: maintaining clean, organized DAM files, developing efficient and streamlined production processes

Qualifications & Experience

• Retail/Ecommerce experience
• Experience with digital and print production
• Experience with luxury, health and wellness and/or nutrition brands
• Be able to communicate confidently and present ideas clearly
• Understand and apply typography, color, icons, information design and visual hierarchy to drive action while maintaining the brand
• Knowledge and proficiency in all creative application software and technologies including Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and other creative applications; experience working in a DAM a plus
• Cross-channel expertise, including website, email, print and social
• 5+ years in related field, preferably at an agency

Pluses

• Illustration skills
• Experience with motion graphics and video editing
• Familiarity in executing retail marketing initiatives
• Knowledge of digital asset management systems
• Photoshoot experience
