Job Description

Shell Lumber & Hardware (retail home improvement company with over 90 years in business), is seeking candidates to join our team. Great working environment, friendly coworkers, you'll never be bored!
The Lumber Associate/Cashier will be responsible for providing customer service, maintaining shelf appearance, and the overall appearance of the lumber yard by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for customer service. Making contact with each and every customer in the store.
• Responsible for selling and offering add-on sales. Processing invoices at of sales.
• Responsible for understanding the features and benefits of the products offered and makes recommendations based on customer needs.
• Loads merchandise onto carts or the customer vehicles.
• Responsible for cutting merchandise as required.
• Stocks, down stocks, and organizes inventory on the shelves. *
• Responsible for sweeping, trash removal, and other maintenance as required.
• Follows opening and closing procedures of the registers when assigned.
• Answers incoming calls for the department.
• Responsible for training new associates once tenured.
• Provides information on the out of stocks to the supervisors or purchasing.
• Assists in construction and improvement projects for the store.
• Performs any other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year cashier's experience
• Oral and written communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Detail-oriented
• English a must/bi-lingual preferred

Pay range: $13-15.00 per hour.

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Key Largo, FL 33037: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

• English (Required)
