Job Description

Why Ecowize?

At Ecowize North America, we go beyond cleaning food production facilities — we safeguard public health and drive operational excellence. As part of our team, you’ll join a mission-driven organization committed to food safety, innovation, and people development. If you’re ready to lead, inspire, and make a measurable difference, this role is for you.

Your Role: Area Manager (Sanitation)

As an Area Manager, you’ll oversee multiple sanitation sites within a designated region, ensuring top-tier service delivery, compliance, and team performance. Reporting to the Division Manager, you’ll lead Site Managers and their teams to meet client expectations, safety standards, and sanitation protocols. You will be the critical link between client success and internal execution — balancing strategy and hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sanitation operations across multiple facilities to deliver high-quality, compliant service.
  • Coach and develop Site Managers to build high-performing teams aligned with safety and food quality standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, HR, Finance) to drive performance, resolve issues, and implement best practices.
  • Ensure readiness for audits and support corrective actions to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, KPIs, labor usage, and resource allocation to meet company and client goals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and frontline engagement.

What Success Looks Like: Core Competencies

  • Drives Results: Achieves goals through persistence, precision, and ownership.
  • Develops Talent: Coaches and invests in team growth and career progression.
  • Thinks Critically: Analyzes issues, solves problems, and uses data for smart decisions.
  • Communicates Effectively: Builds trust with clear, candid, and audience-aware communication.
  • Collaborates Across Teams: Works cross-functionally to create seamless operations.
  • Plans & Prioritizes: Aligns objectives with business needs and adapts quickly to change.
  • Builds Relationships: Partners with clients and internal teams to foster mutual success.

Our Values in Action

Partnership :

You build relationships rooted in trust, transparency, and shared goals — with clients, colleagues, and frontline teams.

Excellence:

You uphold high standards, follow SOPs, and lead your team to deliver consistent, high-impact outcomes.

Integrity:

What You Bring

  • Experience: 7+ years in management, in food manufacturing sanitation and production environments.
  • Sanitation Expertise: Familiarity with USDA/FDA regulations, GMPs, and Master Sanitation Programs.
  • Safety Leadership: Proficient in safety protocols including LOTO and HAZCOMM.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English): Required for effective communication and leadership across diverse teams.
  • Technology Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and adaptable to new platforms.

Bonus: Experience leading workforce planning, opening new sites, or managing audits across multiple client locations.
