Scientist II – Broomfield, CO

Type: Direct Hire

Shift: M-F 8a-5p

Salary: 90-95K

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform high complexity tests as authorized by the laboratory director.
• Follow procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analysis, and results reporting.
• Maintain records of proficiency testing samples and patient test results.
• Adhere to quality control policies, document activities, and perform instrument maintenance.
• Identify and resolve test performance issues or notify relevant supervisors.
• Collaborate on proteomics projects, experiment design, and data interpretation.
• Deliver high-quality data for project oversight.
• Conduct statistical analysis and review QC testing data.
• Utilize mass spectrometers, Lab collector software, Skyline, and related tools.

Education and Experience:

• Doctoral or Master's degree in relevant scientific fields.
• Experience with Mass Spectrometry (Orbitrap instruments), MS software analysis, and proteomics methodologies.
• Strong communication skills.
• Minimum of 1-10 years of relevant experience depending on degree.
• In-depth disciplinary knowledge and business acumen.
• Advanced principles and project management techniques.
• Problem-solving, opportunity/risk analysis, and trends integration.
• Guide major projects based on business plans.
• Contribute to function/department objectives and maintain productive relationships.
