Job Description

The Scrum Master will support multiple Agile development teams by facilitating and coordinating Agile Scrum processes while coaching the teams on Scrum principles and best practices. They will collaborate across the organization to understand requirements, guide planning and estimation, and track progress using Jira to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Assist with backlog grooming to clarify requirements and ensure stories are appropriately sized.
  • Track and communicate Epic/Story status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and project management.
  • Implement and monitor metrics to support on-time, high-quality solution delivery.
  • Provide work completion estimates and communicate trade-offs for prioritization decisions.
  • Coach team members on Agile frameworks and guide teams toward higher Scrum maturity.
  • Identify and remove roadblocks, resolving conflicts to ensure team progress.
  • Lead the efficient delivery of large, cross-functional projects with concurrent workstreams.
  • Proactively manage risks, bottlenecks, issue resolution, and escalation management while balancing business and technical needs.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager leading Agile teams.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum techniques and artifacts (e.g., definition of done, Epics, user stories, backlog refinement, automated testing).
  • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills.
  • BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with relevant Agile experience.
  • Background in IT delivery and software development.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies.
  • Agile certifications such as PMI-ACP or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) are a plus.
  • Experience in Financial Services is a plus.
