Job Title: Scrum Master

Location: Mclean, VA(Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months

Tax Terms: W2

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Scrum Coach to lead multiple Agile teams in delivering high-quality products. As a Senior Scrum Coach, you will be responsible for ensuring the teams embrace Agile values, principles, and practices while fostering a collaborative environment to drive continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach multiple cross-functional teams in Agile methodologies, ensuring adherence to Scrum practices.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives).
  • Remove obstacles that impede the team's progress, ensuring the timely delivery of product increments.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a well-defined and prioritized backlog that aligns with business objectives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging teams to regularly reflect on processes and adapt for better outcomes.
  • Act as a change agent, helping to build an Agile mindset across the organization.
  • Track and report on team performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where teams can engage in healthy discussions and problem-solving without fear.
  • Provide ongoing support to the team while coaching them to become self-organized with cross-functional skills and domain knowledge.
  • Facilitate internal and external communication, discussions, decision-making, and collaboration to ensure team alignment.
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles both within and across teams, increasing the effectiveness of Scrum practices within the organization.
  • Guide development teams to higher levels of Scrum maturity by identifying strengths and areas for improvement, using tailored coaching and development techniques.
  • Manage and coordinate dependencies across teams to ensure smooth workflow and project delivery.
  • Maintain transparency by identifying and addressing risks in a timely manner to keep stakeholders informed and mitigate potential issues.
  • Mentor junior Scrum Coaches and team members on Agile best practices and tools.
  • Work closely with other Scrum Coaches, and leadership to drive organizational Agile transformation efforts.
