We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the 3rd Shift Security Guard position, joining our Nottingham, PA team!

  • SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday
  • SHIFT: 9:00pm-7:00am

Job Summary:
This role answers phones and checks in visitors/ temporary workers while managing the front desk and ensuring safety and integrity of the security access system. The position secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance and access control equipment, internal and external inspection of buildings, equipment, and access points for all emergency situations. This position also has responsibilities in the training of new hires and current employees in all areas of security.

Key Responsibilities


Security

  • Operates manufacturing security desk, checking in visitors, temporary staff and vendors providing professional customer service.
  • Answers facility phones, documents all call in’s and redirects/delivers in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
  • Observes entering/exiting at shift change to protect against unauthorized entries or theft.
  • Works with Safety Specialist to identify gaps in security and appropriate measures to close gaps.
  • Notifies authorities in the case of fire, emergencies, or presence of unauthorized persons. Notifies specific departments or managers in the event of a non-emergency.
  • Ability to learn and monitor Security Camera System when not on patrol.
  • Secures primary point of contact for all emergency situations.
  • May be required to transport employees to off campus locations for non-emergent situations such as drug screens, post-accident testing, minor injuries, etc.

Patrolling

  • Patrols buildings and grounds or any company owned property as directed.
  • Ensures all buildings are physically secure, void of unauthorized persons, looks for irregularities such as leaking water pipes, fire hazards, electrical issues, etc.
  • Submit accurate reports of daily building inspections, surveillance activity and any important occurrences.
  • Operates the security vehicle in a courteous, safe, and professional manner.

Administrative

  • Provides documentation following policy and procedures regarding detected security incidents (e.g. property damage, unusual occurrences, malfunction of equipment).
  • Maintains and updates all checklists and charts.
  • Ability to learn card access administrative work, i.e. replacing or making badges, freezing or shutting off a badge.
  • Provides administrative support to other departments as needed and when requested.

This position also be required to preserve confidentiality of all business information and data as well as maintain a professional appearance and demeanor with a positive attitude. Required to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients, work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail. Respect the work environment and keep it as environmentally friendly as possible, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible. Reliable attendance and punctuality are also required.

The employee is also expected to perform other related duties, special projects, and events the company holds as required from time to time.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent with basic computer skills required.
  • Minimum 6 months security/reception area experience, preferred.
  • Demonstrated exemplary customer service skills and phone etiquette.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in state of residence and an approved driver’s record.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English. Spanish is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to fill in as needed on weekends and/or other shifts.
  • Training will be provided – successful completion and certification of Decision Driving Defensive Training courses within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be CPR, First Aid, and AED certified or gain certification within 60 days of hire.
