Organization Overview
The Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers (Mass League), established in 1972, is one of the first state Primary Care Associations (PCAs) in the country. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization registered as a public charity, the Mass League supports community health centers across Massachusetts through advocacy, training, and technical assistance. We are headquartered in Boston, with a training center in Worcester. At the Mass League, we strive to create an inclusive culture that values diversity and fosters a sense of belonging among staff. Position Summary
The Senior Director (SD) of Communications & Public Affairs leads internal and external communications for the Mass League. Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Development & External Affairs, the SD is responsible for developing and executing a strategic communications plan that raises the organization's visibility among key audiences, including foundations, corporations, health care policymakers, and health center patients and communities. This role also supports internal communications, provides technical assistance to member health centers, and manages press relations, media strategies, and special events.
