Electronics & Instrumentation Engineer – Accelerator Systems
My client is seeking a Senior Electronics & Instrumentation Engineer to support the development and reliable operation of precision ion source systems. This role involves working at the intersection of hardware, diagnostics, and control systems within a multidisciplinary R&D team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement instrumentation for ion source monitoring and control.
- Integrate and calibrate sensors (e.g. temperature, pressure, beam current).
- Develop control systems and real-time data acquisition interfaces.
- Collaborate on fault-tolerant, redundant, and monitoring systems.
- Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of systems.
- Document system designs and operational procedures.
Required:
- Master’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years in instrumentation, control systems, and sensor integration.
- Hands-on experience with DAQ, signal processing, and automation tools (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB).
Preferred:
- Experience with high-voltage or RF systems in accelerator or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of EMC standards (e.g. IEC 61000), feedback control, or predictive maintenance.
- Familiarity with AI-based diagnostics and reliability engineering.
