Job Description

Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. This role is critical for driving process improvements, implementing technical innovations, and enhancing the visibility of financial data to support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in advanced financial modeling, and proficiency in utilizing tools like Power BI to develop automated reporting solutions. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance, the candidate should exhibit a passion for continuous innovation and improving financial processes to deliver insights and operational efficiency.

Duties:

  • Lead and support corporate budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial projections and capital planning.
  • Prepare variance analysis and deliver actionable insights into financial performance.
  • Create and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Develop and sustain advanced financial models to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data accuracy and availability, enabling financial insights.
  • Utilize tools like Power BI or SQL to build financial dashboards and automate reporting processes.
  • Identify and propose improvements to financial planning, reporting systems, and workflows.
  • Stay updated on emerging financial technologies (e.g., Python, AI/ML) and partner with IT to optimize data integration and workflows.
  • Drive innovation by researching tools and solutions that improve efficiency and enhance insights.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field (required). Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in real estate investment or corporate finance.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Adaptive Planning, or similar financial planning tools.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and Power BI, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills, with a proactive and innovative mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and challenge the status quo, ensuring the finance function aligns with industry best practices.
