Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to lead technical sourcing, process development, and product quality for signal delivery products —critical electro-mechanical assemblies that connect ATE instruments to customer devices. This role emphasizes new product development while maintaining ownership of product quality throughout the lifecycle.

You’ll collaborate with internal engineering teams to influence design decisions, optimize material selection, and ensure manufacturing scalability and quality. You’ll also assess supplier capabilities, drive qualification processes, and lead root cause analysis for quality events.

This position is full time and on-site in Agoura Hills, California.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supplier tooling and test process development for high-volume manufacturing.
• Conduct supplier process audits and manage qualification protocols.
• Evaluate supplier reliability, design validity, and process capability.
• Drive Gage R&R and Measurement System Analysis studies.
• Oversee part qualification processes and ensure alignment with complexity.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier quality issues.

Required Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years in electronics manufacturing process development.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification; strong DMAIC and Six Sigma toolset.
• Experience with electro-mechanical design and poka-yoke tooling.
• Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of soldering science and process controls.
• Understanding of signal transmission concepts (impedance, insertion loss, return loss).
