Job Title: Tax Senior

Job Location: Chicago, IL (in the Loop) - HYBRID: 2 days in office

Salary: $80k-$115k DOE

Requirements: 3+ yrs public accounting experience with C corporations and partnerships

Position Overview

We are top 50 CPA advisory firm seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services to a diverse client base, with a focus on C corporations and partnerships. This position requires a strong understanding of tax accounting principles and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for C corporations and partnerships.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Provide clients with tax planning strategies and recommendations.
• Assist in the preparation of tax provision calculations and related financial statement disclosures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the evolving tax landscape, including regulations affecting the cannabis industry.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver high-quality tax services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in tax accounting, specifically with C corporations and partnerships.
• We are focused more on compliance and return prep, NOT tax provision / ASC740
• Preferred: EA, J.D., LL.M, CPA designations.
• Preferred: Experience in the cannabis industry.
