Job Opportunity: Derivative Trade Support Specialist
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
We are looking for a Derivative Trade Support Specialist to join our dynamic Global Derivative Operations team. This role involves working with a diverse team to support global derivative trading activities, focusing on trade processing, trade affirmation, and trade notification. The position will involve liaising with traders, operations teams, external service providers, and regulatory initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support various business and regulatory projects within derivatives, including the integration of business units and new instrument approvals.
• Collaborate with global teams to process daily derivative trade activity, including trade lifecycle events and trade confirmations.
• Resolve derivative trade discrepancies by working closely with traders (Equity and Fixed Income) and third-party service providers such as custodians and brokers.
• Partner with Portfolio Services, Collateral Management, and Fund Administration teams to resolve post-trade issues.
• Continuously review and improve processes for operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure global alignment of operational procedures and best practices.
Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of the investment industry and experience with OTC and Listed Derivatives such as Futures, Options, Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Swaps, and Equity Swaps.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other corporate technology platforms.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with the initiative to escalate issues when necessary.
• Global team collaboration experience.
