Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) is a 99-bed community hospital and Vermont's first Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence. Our cancer program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. The Emergency Department is staffed by physicians certified in emergency medicine. Our physician group is affiliated with Dartmouth-Hitchcock, one of the nation's leading academic medical centers.

Role Description

Full time and part time on-site roles for an Ultrasound Technologist located in Bennington, VT are available. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, and identifying, communicating clinical findings to radiologists. The role also involves working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • College coursework guided towards ARDMS Board certification and prior hands-on clinical ultrasound experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS Board certification required.
  • ARRT(R) and Vermont State Radiologic Technician license is a plus.
  • Current health care provider BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.

Call Requirement:

This position includes on-call responsibilities. The scheduled call includes:

1. Weeknight Call: 11:00PM to 7:00AM, approximately 3-4 nights per month

2. Weekend Call: Saturday night call from 7:00PM to 7:00AM every 6th weekend
