Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Spring Intern at Hyperquake, located in Cincinnati, OH with some work-from-home flexibility. UX/UI Interns will have the opportunity to solve diverse problems, while conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes in order to co-create top level user experiences to meet our clients’ business needs. This role works collaboratively with the Strategy, Brand Design and Client teams to support creative decisions resulting in progressive, sophisticated and appropriate creative solutions.

The UX/UI internship role at Hyperquake is responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes and designing overall functionality of digital products, user testing to ensure great user experience and iterating based on results.

Qualifications

  • Passion and exposure to UX Design experience developing complex solutions for digital environments in an integrated agency or digital design studio, in-house digital team or other relevant experience
  • Understands best practices of modularity and scalability and implement in design executions
  • Ability to rapidly test and iterate your user-centered designs
  • Proactively make strategic user experience decisions related to core and new functions and features
  • Experience with developer interaction and file delivery, implementing best practices
  • Be an active participant in creative ideation and collaborative design critique
  • Ability to present work and communicate practical UX rationale to clients
  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Research, conceive, sketch, prototype and user test digital product experiences in service of clients’ digital product vision
  • Design wireframes, user stories, user journeys and mockups and deliver for wide range of devices and applications
  • Delivers creative excellence within project parameters: client goals and requirements, internal goals, technical constraints as well as budget and schedule.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients
  • An “digital/Interactive” project can be defined as, but not limited to: Website / Intranet / Web Portal Application design/Digital media and or rich media campaign design 
  • Responsible for managing best practices in design (clean files, proofing, color limitations, printing limitations) with design team members.
  • Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, and the like.
  • Familiarity with Google collaborative products (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Box, Keynote
