Job Description

The firm seeks to hire an experienced Consultant Relations professional to cover a broad group of leading consultants. The successful candidate will collaborate with the broader business development and investor relations team, spearheading efforts to generate positive ratings and capital raises for our long-only and alternative strategies. Demonstration of strong existing relationships with key research and field consultant stakeholders is required. This candidate should also have significant knowledge of and experience with private/public pensions, insurance companies, consultants, and other key institutional allocators.

Responsibilities to include, but not be limited to:

  • The primary objective is to develop and cultivate consultant industry relationships with a focus on commercial results by:
  • Developing and executing a macro and micro marketing strategy for the firm’s various long-only and alternative strategies with consultants.
  • Driving the product ratings lifecycle with research and the utilization process with field consultant stakeholders.
  • Coordinating marketing efforts with members of the Marketing/Client Advisory team and the investment teams
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the firm’s investment strategies, solutions, products, and structures, and being able to present these in a compelling way to prospects

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of credit-oriented asset classes
  • Current knowledge of, and relationships with Tier 1, 2 consultants nationally
  • Ability to excel in a highly entrepreneurial, fast-paced, competitive work environment
  • High energy, outgoing, results-oriented personality with strong work ethic and high self-motivation
  • Ability to work independently of others while also collaborating closely within a small team
  • 8-10+ years of relevant consultant relations experience
  • Must be willing to travel
  • BA/BS required; MBA and CFA preferred, not required
