Flexo Operator

Our client, a leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions, is seeking a skilled Flexo Operator to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient production and maintaining superior quality standards in flexible packaging manufacturing.

We are seeking candidates who are at the Operator 1 or Operator 2 level, with the ability to efficiently run the flexographic printing press and troubleshoot machine issues independently.

Night shift differentials of $2.00 per hour are available for candidates open to working night shifts.

Focus:

• Operate flexographic printing press equipment efficiently to meet or exceed production targets.
• Set up printing press machines, including plate mounting, ink mixing, and adjusting print settings.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal production flow.
• Train and mentor fellow operators to improve production efficiency and troubleshoot machine problems.
• Collaborate with management and quality department to ensure adherence to quality standards and address any quality issues.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Manage inventory of production supplies to support uninterrupted operations.

Skill Set:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience operating flexographic printing press equipment.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to set up and troubleshoot flexo printing presses independently.
• Proficiency in ink mixing, plate mounting, and adjusting print settings.
• Ability to train and mentor other operators to improve production efficiency and troubleshoot machine problems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Familiarity with forklift operation procedures is a plus.
