Job Description

Our client is a long-established commercial real estate group managing a diverse portfolio of mixed-use developments, suburban malls, and office buildings. They are seeking a seasoned Commercial Real Estate Attorney for an on-site, reduced-hours role that provides substantive legal work without a full-time schedule.

Position Details

• Location: On-site at client’s office

• Schedule: 4–5 days per week, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week

• Type: Part-time, on-site

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day legal matters related to commercial real estate operations
• Draft, review, and negotiate lease agreements, purchase and sale contracts, and other transactional documents
• Manage settlement and closing processes, including coordination with title companies, escrow agents, lenders, and opposing counsel; prepare and review closing statements and settlement documents
• Oversee contract administration, risk assessment, and compliance for property operations
• Support acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and lease restructurings as needed
• Coordinate with internal teams and outside counsel to resolve disputes and facilitate smooth transactions

Qualifications

• 15+ years of legal experience focused on commercial real estate
• Proven experience with settlements and closings, including title and escrow coordination and closing document preparation
• Strong background in leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and commercial contracts
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Licensed to practice in the relevant state(s) and in good standing
• Ideal for a senior attorney seeking a scaled-back schedule while remaining actively engaged in substantive real estate work
