Position Overview:

As a Senior Manager - Business Incentives, you will help develop, manage, and lead a multi-state business incentives practice. Your leadership will identify new opportunities, secure new client engagements, and drive client success while mentoring a growing team.

Report:

This position reports directly to a Partner of the firm.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new client engagements.
  • Stay current on evolving state and local tax legislation impacting tax credits and business incentives.
  • Develop and market new service offerings.
  • Represent Advantous, and present, at national conferences and seminars.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key economic development representatives throughout the US.
  • Lead multiple complex multi-state and local tax and incentive projects.
  • Manage the business incentives practice.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure client deadlines are consistently met.
  • Mentor and develop team members to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Negotiate resolutions with state and local tax authorities.
  • Support business development initiatives to drive growth and expand client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 10+ years of direct multi-state credits & incentives consulting experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong leadership, project management, and client-facing communication skills.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $125,000 – $175,000
  • Salary range is provided as a guideline. Actual compensation will be determined based on many factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications and geographic cost of living considerations.
