Fast growing Spine & Joint Centers is expanding into North Carolina and seeking skilled and compassionate Physician Assistants (PA-C) to join our team in Fayetteville, Laurinburg, and potentially Asheboro. The successful candidate will work closely with supervising physicians and a collaborative team to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient interventional pain management clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment and Management: Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including detailed histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretation. Develop and implement individualized care plans aimed at improving function and reducing opioid dependency.
- Procedural Expertise: Perform and assist with a wide range of minimally invasive, outpatient procedures, such as spinal cord stimulation (SCS), joint injections, nerve blocks, and other targeted treatments for spine and joint pain.
- Treatment Planning and Education: Manage treatment plans and educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and long-term wellness strategies. Emphasize procedure-based, opioid-sparing approaches to pain management.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with supervising physicians and the broader clinical team to ensure comprehensive, high-quality patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters, evaluations, and treatments in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Qualifications
- Education and Certification:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Licensure: Active North Carolina PA license, or the ability to obtain it within 2–3 weeks.
- Experience:
- Experience in pain management, orthopedics, or a related outpatient specialty is preferred.
- Comfort with performing procedures and managing an independent caseload is a plus.
- Personal Skills:
- Collaborative and evidence-based approach to patient care.
- Strong commitment to reducing opioid reliance through interventional solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits and Compensation
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- No Call: No night, weekend, or on-call duties.
- Compensation:
- Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $150,000.
- Eligibility for an annual bonus.
