ABOUT NOVILLA RNG

Novilla RNG is a nationwide developer and operator of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) projects at dairies across America. Our mission is providing a sustainable and beneficial path for North American agriculture to reduce their greenhouse gas footprint and create a reliable income stream. Our process digests cow manure, creating biogas that is purified into pipeline quality natural gas that can be used in a variety of ways. The digestion of the manure mitigates the amount of greenhouse gases emitted from dairy lagoons. Please reference our company website ( for more information about our process. Novilla RNG is rapidly expanding with two projects in operation, two projects finishing construction in 2024 and six projects, ranging from South Dakota to Vermont, starting construction in 2024.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Plant operators work closely with plant managers to conduct all routine and non-routine maintenance and repairs at the RNG facility. This is a hands-on role where a willingness to learn and a commitment to safety culture will be vital. This position reports to local operations management. Candidates should understand gas flow metering, gas analysis, 4-20mA signals, digital signals, instrumentation, PLC’s and machinery typical to the oil/gas industry.

PRINICIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

• Perform maintenance and repairs on all major and ancillary equipment at RNG facility. Some examples include compressors, boilers, and generators.

• Understand, follow, and assist with compliance regulations. This may include record keeping, gathering data, permit posting, and maintaining compliance equipment.

• Intermediate electrical troubleshooting and repairs.

• Operate and maintain the facility and all associated equipment in a safe, detailed, organized, and presentable manner. Tasks may include housekeeping, weeding, or site maintenance.

• Respond to callouts in a timely and professional manner (typically within 1 hour).

• Maximize site efficiency.

• Other roles as decided by management.

ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-5 years of operations or related experience.

• Trade school certification, high school diploma, or GED.

• Mechanical aptitude background.

• Established troubleshooting skills.

• General working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.

• 4-20 mA troubleshooting.

• Displays a positive attitude, is highly motivated and results oriented.

• Ability to establish and maintain confidential and effective working relationships with supervisor, coworkers, management, and the public.

• Ability to function within a matrix organization in which functional and business leaders have equal authority within the organization and employees report to both a functional leader and a business leader.

• Instrumentation and controls background. Preferred.

• Experience in some or all the following industries: Renewable energy, gas processing, chemical, power, waste management, and/ or environmental air quality. Preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role requires a person to wear and work in personal protective equipment. The employee is required to work alongside other personnel, and occasionally, by themselves. Physical demands associated with this position include walking across uneven terrain, operating heavy machinery, climbing ladders, walking up 82 feet of stairs, lift 50 lbs. to chest level, manipulating up to 100 lbs. with assistance, as well as use of large tools. This is an essential position requiring attendance on weekends, holidays, and during emergency conditions, such as inclement weather and power failures.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The employee performs job duties in an area leased from a dairy farm and near manure lagoons. Smells, noises, and ground conditions associated with farming are pervasive in the work area.

SALARY & BENEFITS

• $34-$38/ hr. + annual discretionary bonus.

• 120 hours of PTO & 40 hours of sick time for your first 12 months of employment (pro-rated based on your start date).

o 160 hours of PTO & 40 hours of sick time, annually, after your first 12 months of employment.
