Job Description

We are seeking a plant-based procurement professional to lead direct material sourcing activities (metals, components, fabrics) at the local level, while supporting broader global category strategy . This role is critical in securing supply, optimizing vendor performance, and driving cost savings through hands-on execution and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage local sourcing and procurement of direct materials
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with regional suppliers
• Resolve supply continuity and quality issues promptly
• Implement cost reduction initiatives (e.g., VA/VE, dual sourcing)
• Support global RFQs, supplier transitions, and standardization efforts
• Act as the bridge between local operations and global category teams
• Provide market intelligence, supplier feedback, and performance data
• Collaborate closely with Planning, Operations, Quality, and Engineering

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business
• 3–5 years of experience in direct materials sourcing at a manufacturing plant
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cost analysis skills
• Familiarity with procurement in matrix/global environments is a plus
• Excellent cross-functional communication and analytical mindset
