Planner/Scheduler

Position Overview:

A well-established and growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Planner/Scheduler to join its operations team. This position is integral to ensuring the efficient flow of work and materials across departments, supporting both production goals and customer commitments. We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update master schedules for multiple production lines to align with daily and long-term goals.
• Prepare and organize schedules that meet customer requirements, delivery deadlines, and production capacity.
• Release and expedite orders to production, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor orders in progress, identify potential delays, and take action to ensure on-time delivery.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, adjustments, and coordination with purchasing to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Generate reports on open orders, production performance, and on-time delivery metrics.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing waste.
• Assist with production and warehouse-related projects, including annual physical inventory and reporting.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel expertise strongly preferred) and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing needs.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications a plus.
