Job Description

  • Position: Microbiologist I/II/III (hiring for all levels!)
  • Shift: 1st shift M-F starting out with the potential for it to transition to 2nd shift 2p-10p M-F down the road (currently only have 1st shift!)
  • Pay : $25-30/hr (level I, 1-2 years), $30-35/hr (level II, 3-5 years), $35-40/hr (level III, 5+)
  • Requirements: experience working in GMP production environment, experience with environmental monitoring
  • Opportunity for an experienced Microbiologist to continue their career in downstream/upstream manufacturing. This role will be with our client who has a global footprint in both R&D and manufacturing within the biopharma industry!

    Key Qualifications & Skills:

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, or a related field.
    • Experience: 1-2 years (level I) or 3-5 years (level II) or 5+ years (level III) of experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

    Tec hn ical Expertise:

    • Proficiency with air sampling EM equipment (such as Airldeal, HACH Met Ones 3440 Series, Lasair III, MiniCapt).
    • Experience in performing bacterial endotoxin testing, gram staining, growth promotion tests, bioburden, and microbial limit tests.
    • Knowledge of monitoring water systems (e.g., WFI, RO, PW, CS) and compressed air/nitrogen gas.
    • Ability to carry out environmental monitoring in controlled and aseptic manufacturing settings.

    Physical & Mental Requirements

    • Ability to work in full aseptic gowning for up to 4 hours per week.
    • Capacity to lift up to 25 lbs.
    • Resilience in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and the ability to manage stress effectively.

    Flexibility and Safety:

    • Willingness to adapt to varying schedules, including working weekends, holidays, or extended hours as needed.
    • Comfort with working in an environment that involves hazardous chemicals and specialized equipment, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
