Job Title: Tooling Fabrication Technician Pay Rate: $40.00-50.00/ per hour Location: St Louis, MO 63134 Area Code: 314 Shifts: 1st Employment Type: Direct, Full Benefits DOD Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required #Verisurf #DODjobs #Tooling About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Tooling Fabrication Technician to support the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of complex tooling systems used in aerospace manufacturing and assembly. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with CMM, precision measurement systems, CNC programming, and tooling rework, ensuring high-quality performance and reliability of production tools. What You'll Do:

• Operate and maintain laser trackers for precision measurement, alignment, and inspection of tooling and assemblies.
• Perform tool installations and assemblies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with engineering specifications.
• Execute tooling rework and modifications as needed to support production and improve performance.
• Utilize Mastercam software for CNC programming and tooling fabrication support.
• Apply Verisurf for measurement, analysis, and validation of tooling solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and deliver reliable solutions.
• Maintain documentation of tooling configurations, modifications, and inspection results.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in tooling fabrication, installation, or rework within aerospace or advanced manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with laser tracker operation for inspection and alignment.
• Experience with tooling installs, assemblies, and rework.
• Prior use of Verisurf for inspection and analysis.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Due to the nature of the work, an active DOD secret clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Prior aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
• CNC Programming
• Familiarity with GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience with CAD and CAM software tools.
